1st in Piping and 1st in Drumming!

Almost a full band at todays contest. 10 pipers, 4 sides, Bass & Tenor. Only one piper and a tenor drummer missing.

A good performance, only spoiled by an early chanter at the start and one squeal in the last tune.

Despite the poor start everyone held their nerve and produced an excellent performance to give us our first 1st place in an outdoor contest since 2003.

The confidence in the band is sky high at the moment as we enter a sequence of four outdoor contests in four weekends - next one is Birmingham next Sunday.

At last we're achieving some consistency in tone and performance and there's every reason to believe that the current run of good form will hold.
