1st in Drumming!

What a result for the drum corps!

That's now four 1st places in a row - brilliant!

Piping performance was great - solid bright sound and expressive playing (only one small slip - which most of the band didn't hear and the judge didn't comment on)

Everyone came off the arena feeling that this was without a doubt the best performance the whole band (pipers and drummers) had put together this season.

All the knowledgeable feedback from spectators and other bandsmen during the afternoon was clear - we had won. Unfortunately that was not the opinion shared by the judge and, at the end of the day, it's his opinion that counts :-(

This was a bitter pill to swallow, but we have to shrug our shoulders and move forward to next weeks English Championships when hopefully an equal, or better, performance will see our confidence restored.
