Having put up a reasonably good performance in the MAP heat in the morning to qualify for the final, despite the pouring rain during the tuning in and actual arena performance, we were quite optimistic about playing again later in the day in the final.

Unfortunately things were not to be as we would have liked them.

A little bit of a problem with the top hands of the chanters before we went on which wasn't fully solved, slight piping slip in one tune coupled with a down tempo performance all combined to produce a performance which clearly wasn't to the judges liking.
