2nd Piping, 2nd Drumming = 2nd overall

Extremely positive start to the season. Both pipe and drum corps were well pleased with their performance and the overall band sound felt good.

The good pipe sound that we'd been having for a number of weeks at practices continued in to the contest and held throughout the performance (that in itself is something of an achievement after the last few seasons), although top hands sounding a bit thin was duly commented on by the judge.

Little bit of uneven blowing and one small fingering error towards the end of the set (also both noted by the judge).

Holiday and work commitments meant we were only able to field the bare minimum of 6 pipers but that should be better next week at Ashbourne when we should have 8 on the line.
