On the whole not a bad day.

Pipe tone was vastly improved on previous years and very little trouble to achieve.

A slipped drone at the start of the performance spoiled the overall drone sound and was duly commented on by the judge plus one fingering error which wasn't were the only real issues, plus of course a bit of uneven blowing.

Drummers were also pleased with their performance and looking round the band, both after we came off the arena and after the massed bands, everyone seemed happy with what we'd achieved on the day.

Hopefully we can build on this now and tighten things up a little for Corby next weekend.

Good to see the guys from Welsh Piping Society back out on the contest field again - seems like we might be spending this season tussling for places - first blood to them today!
