When we started this one, I thought yes - here's the performance coming at last.

Decent sound, good start, great control in the opening Polka, Strathspey holding together well with good expression, Reel - a bit untidy couple of minor slips, Slow Air - back together and harmonies sounding really good. Then came the Calypso - first part not bad, second part piper cutting in and out, third part - one of the pipers decided to play his own version completely different notes!

What a disapointment after such a promising start, but as the Pipe Sergeant pointed out - this time last year we were struggling simply just to get through the medley so I suppose we have to recognise there's been a definite improvement.
