The 'A' band performance was a little below that of the Midlands competition two weeks back, but nevertheless a fairly pleasing one. Pipe sound wasn't as solid but there were no mistakes and a good start and finish helped.

The 'B' band tone disappeared after a fairly good start with one of the chanters going off badly (stronger reeds needed!).

Pipe sections were 2nd and 3rd splitting the two Banbury pipe sections.

Drum corps placings were disappointing (6th and 7th) which contributed to the 'A' bands drop in place from 2nd to 3rd but this will I'm sure lend further impetus to the efforts of the corps over the coming weeks as we head towards the first outdoor full band contest at Banbury in June.
