This was the performance I've been waiting for all season.
After the disaster at Corby there was a certain level of tension around the band in the tuning park but the performance on the arena was exactly as it should have been - clean and solid.
Reasonably good sound, decent intro, no obvious mistakes although the ending was a little ragged.
A sense of relief (and pride) was felt by the whole piping corps once we got out of the spotlight.
And yes.... the dream result for the year (sorry Banbury!)
Only problem now is it's a long time until Cowal.
